Five arcade racers that actually feel fast on a phone
Racing on a phone lives or dies by the controls, and most games get it wrong. The good ones make you forget you're tapping glass. After weeks of testing, a handful stood out for how convincingly they sell speed.
Neon Drift Circuit tops my list purely for its drift feel. There's a weight to the slides that most mobile racers miss entirely. It turns every corner into a small decision instead of a formality.
The trick with all of these is the tuning of the assist. Too much and you're bored, too little and you're fighting the screen. The best racers find a middle ground where you feel skilled without being punished for the format.
My advice: play with the sensitivity settings before you judge any of them. A racer that feels awful in the first race often just needs a small tweak to click.
